“OK Monday, let’s do this!” When was the last time you told yourself THAT?! Or is the situation more like, “Monday Already! I dread Monday!” But my friends, it is what it is. Monday IS coming regardless of whether you want it to or not. So you can either drag your feet miserably into the day, OR you can count your blessings that you opened your eyes this morning, and MAKE this week happen, like really happen!
Monday CAN be a good day, it’s all in the perspective. For me, Monday is a FRESH NEW START! A a day to rev-up the week with a killer workout, a day to get my healthy eating habits back on track, if I indulged over the weekend, a day to set new goals for myself for the week . THIS day sets the tone for the rest of the week!
So are you READY to do this week with me or what?! Get your workout in! Rule # 1 of Fitness, NEVER MISS A MONDAY! THIS will get you motivated, your heart pumping, your mind thinking more clearly and have you feeling less stressed. Now this can be anything from a walk, a yoga session, or a day at the gym pumping iron, it’s all in your personal preference. If time is pressed because of your hectic Monday schedule, do some sit -ups, push-ups or a brisk walk on your lunch break. NO EXCUSES! Just do it! Make it part of your routine!
FUEL your body with healthy foods that will give you the energy you need to take this week on, full throttle! Eat lots of veggies, fruit, lean protein, nuts, whole grains and drink LOTS of water!
Take a few minutes, literally minutes, to write down some goals you have for yourself this week. Just a few things you would like to get done to help you feel accomplished. Seeing it in writing, with those check marks by each task done, is and amazing feeling. Perhaps just amazing enough that you will do it again NEXT week! For example: I will workout 3x this week, clean out that closet I have been putting off, organize the files at my desk at work. Start small, as to not overwhelm yourself at first. You’ve SO got this!
Consistency is key here, like in most anything you want to see success. Just keep pushing forward each and every day, and on Monday, PUSH HARDER! When the going gets tough, you get tougher! Now pull your big kid panties up, and show this Monday that YOU’RE the BOSS!
